Roadmap

The project is rebuilding from a small reliable core toward a capability-gated Minecraft social sandbox. It first establishes individual Minecraft competence and long-horizon goal continuity, then observes capable actors in materially interdependent economic, cooperative, and quest scenarios.

Current Target​

  • a dataset-free individual capability manifest with natural-language goals, target predicates, milestones, budgets, and verifier evidence;
  • normalized reports for goal completion, partial progress, efficiency, cost, stalls, blocker recovery, and unsupported claims;
  • long-horizon goal-continuity cases covering interruption, replanning, resume, and evidence-grounded closure;
  • a small attributable shared Minecraft session with cross-actor observation and chat capture;
  • economic, cooperative, and quest scenarios that create material interdependence without scripting the social response;
  • long-run structured evidence, descriptive metrics, and synchronized video.

Next Layer​

  • provider-backed individual capability runs after quota preflight;
  • goal-continuity runs that exercise actor memory and PlanBeads across long horizons and restart;
  • a minimal interdependent sandbox with scenario-versioned role and resource pressure;
  • phenomenon records linking recurrence, alternative explanations, structured evidence, and video segments;
  • narrow controlled experiments only for phenomena selected after observation.

Deferred Investigation​

  • WORKSITE_SUPPORT_FUTURE_ITEM: consider whether physical building tasks need a bounded worksite-support concept for local support surfaces, reachable placement cells, temporary clearing, and recovery from blocked placement. This is a project-local investigation item, not a Minecraft term, not an always-on shelter planner, and not executable authority.

Not The Current Goal​

  • a race-to-diamond benchmark;
  • an always-on house-building planner;
  • a generic long-horizon autonomy claim without benchmark evidence;
  • persona text without Minecraft consequences;
  • evidence-first benchmarking as the headline;
  • treating verified actions as the novel contribution;
  • hidden planner heuristics that make the actor look smarter than the evidence supports;
  • fixed prediction/legibility arms inherited from the superseded V3 plan;
  • society-scale claims before competence, continuity, and observation work.

The public milestone is a runtime where readers can inspect what each actor was capable of, which goals persisted or changed, what material interdependence the scenario created, what happened over time, and which recurring observations are strong enough to motivate a controlled study.
